Cloth, board, and decorative paper will be provided. This class is appropriate for graphic designers, photographers, fine art printers, or anyone with a document or art work that they want to protect.
Mary Baughman cares for books at the Ransom Center. 39 years of work in this dynamic institution have convinced her that books are the technology of the future. Teaching book arts for children has convinced her that children who learn to love books will support the libraries of the future. Promoting book arts has convinced Mary that a book arts center will be welcome in Austin. Mary is a member of the Lone Star chapter of the Guild of Book Workers, a member of the American Institute for Conservation, and a founding member of Austin Book Workers, and one of the originators of the Book Arts Fair held for 20+ years at Laguna Gloria Art Museum.
